How do I transfer an Ohio cosmetology license to Massachusetts?
Does anyone know what I need to do to get a cosmetology license in Massachusetts? I currently hold an Ohio license. I am moving to MA shortly and would appreciate anyone’s input about this. Thanks.

It’s normally pretty easy to do that. I would imagine that you would have to contact The Mass Education Dept. and get and submit the forms along with a fee.

Hi Brad. I work for a Cosmetology school. We have campuses in GA and TN. I recently contacted the licensing board to find out what would have to be done to transfer a GA license to TN.
What you would want to do is contact the state licensure board and ask them their procedures for transfering licenses, because not all states have the same requirements for obtaining and maintaing a license. In TN, to transfer a GA license, all that has to be done is pay the renewal license fee, but that is because both boards have very similar requirements.
